WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
When a client gives us a position assignment, the position is listed in our weekly newsletter and our updated e-cards
sent out to candidates, and on our job board. Candidates on our extensive mailing list and other visitors to our job
board contact us about the position. Additionally we review our files for well qualified candidates. And, using various
lists available to our research assistants, we cold call passive candidates in order to provide our client with the best
qualified candidates available for their open position.
Whenever available, we like to receive a position description for the opening. The more information we can get, the
better able we are to find a best “fit”. Please understand when we ask for more information about a non-“routine”
position. We take great pride in our efforts to find the best fit for every assignment. This helps us to best match up
candidates for the position and also serves as a guide for candidates to decide if they have an interest in a particular
position and if they feel qualified beyond what is presented on their resume.
Unlike our competition, we do not have an “auto send” key on any of our computers. We do not shower our clients with
unsolicited resumes in a race to get there first and become the “Recruiter of Record” without having first done our
homework.
Part of “doing our homework” includes working closely with our candidates. Candidates who have indicated an interest
in a position are then provided the position description when available, web links to the hiring company as well as
links to various sites providing information about the geographic area if the position is in a different geographic
location than the candidate’s current location. We will not send out resumes unless the candidate has received as much
information about the position, company and location as we are able to provide and then made a decision to move forward
in the search. Only after a candidate tells us to forward their resume for consideration for a specific position, do we
forward the resume. This assures the client hiring company that the candidates they receive from College Executives have
knowledge of their company and the position, have expressed an interest in applying for the position and are willing to
relocate to the location of the position, if hired.
For the best service to clients and candidates, we ask that candidates keep us informed of all phone calls and emails
from a potential hiring manager at all clients to whom we have submitted resumes for them. While College Executives is
always ready and eager to assist in setting up telephone interviews as well as in person interviews for hiring managers
with our candidates, many times they like to cut to the chase and make the call when they happen to have a free minute.
It is our responsibility to keep all parties in the search process informed of all related activities.
We check references on our candidates following legal employment guidelines for the process.
